Connecting requirements and delivery

By the MoJ–Morta Community Day on 22 November 2023, the team had developed two principal workstreams. One connected existing information systems to support tracking and assurance; the other structured technical standards by prison category and digitised internal derogation handling. The next priorities included further system connections, activities shared between the workstreams and wider use of information management policies.

The team

The November 2023 presentation brought together MoJ’s digital, information management and technical standards perspectives with implementation support from Mace Consult.

Matthew Scard, Digital Lead in MoJ Technical Services, introduced the estate’s challenges, system requirements and workstreams. He set out the team’s future priorities.

Jeannine Gavaghan, Senior BIM Manager in MoJ Technical Services, explained the transition to ISO 19650 and the approach to connected information, tracking and assurance.

Patrick Kennedy, Technical Change Manager in MoJ Technical Services, presented category-specific standards, change governance and the managed transition of derogation processes.

Alessandro Napoli, Associate Director at Mace Consult, described the delivery-partner contribution. He connected requirements with performance monitoring and design validation, and shared the implementation lessons.
