Alessandro Napoli was an Associate Director at Mace Consult when he joined the Ministry of Justice team’s Smart Prison Estate presentation in November 2023. Mace contributed as a delivery partner, supporting the department in turning its digital strategy into practical work.
Alessandro explained the relationship between structured requirements, consistent delivery information and performance monitoring. He showed how a responsibility matrix related to delivery reporting, and described programmes applying the approach while later stages remained ahead.
His technical standards contribution connected digitised requirements with earlier checking of design information, including room data sheet validation. He also set out the difficulties of coordinating platform development with content preparation, building a bespoke interface and developing stakeholder skills. These examples place his contribution within delivery and implementation support alongside MoJ’s own information management and standards teams.
