What is Issue Tracking?
Gain complete visibility and control over design issues, construction issues, and any other project challenges with Morta's integrated issue tracking solution. Instead of managing problems through scattered spreadsheets, emails, or disconnected tools, Morta provides a single source of truth where every issue can be raised, tracked, and resolved collaboratively.
With Morta, your team benefits from structured templates, workflows, and reporting designed to capture issues at the right level of detail, assign clear responsibilities, and track progress through to resolution. By supporting the Building Collaboration Format from buildingSMART, Morta ensures your issue data is interoperable, standardised, and easily shared across different software platforms and stakeholders.
Equip your organisation with practical tools that turn issue tracking into a transparent, collaborative, and standards-aligned process. Morta helps you reduce risk, close issues faster, and ensure accountability across every stage of delivery.

Frequently asked questions.
Common questions about this template and how it works.
Does Morta support BCF?
Yes. Morta supports the Building Collaboration Format (BCF) from buildingSMART, enabling you to import and export issues in a standardised format that works with BIM authoring tools like Revit, Navisworks and Solibri.
Can I link issues to model elements?
Yes. Every issue can be linked to a specific IFC class and element GUID, as well as a file name and version — providing full traceability back to the model.
How are priorities managed?
Issues can be tagged as High, Medium or Low priority, with due dates and assigned owners. Dashboards highlight overdue and high-priority items automatically.
Can I track issues across design and construction?
Yes. Issues can be tagged by stage (design, construction, operations) and label (architecture, structural, MEP), making it easy to manage issues across the full project lifecycle.
