Jamile Tuma was Associate Director – BIM at Mace Consult at the time of her May 2024 Morta community presentation. She has an architectural background and joined Mace in March 2022. Her work on the consultancy side focused mainly on the public sector, where she saw opportunities to share learning between organisations.
In the presentation, Jamile explained the team's approach to client-side deliverables review across projects using different contractor CDEs. The work brought common metadata fields, a review matrix and direct file links into a consistent interface in Morta. She showed how discipline reviewers could track current and previous revisions, while the lead technical adviser monitored outstanding decisions.
Jamile also described the implementation work behind the interface, including Python support from a colleague, first-integration testing and manual handling of varying information delivery plans. She shared early lessons from the trial and outlined possible uses for lessons learned, derogations and broader assurance reporting.
Morta significantly simplifies the processes for the end users. We had already a lot of feedback about it, how much easier it is for the reviewers, and time saving as well.
