Mott MacDonald is a global, employee-owned engineering, management and development consultancy. Its information management team used Morta on a North American subway extension to connect delivery planning with project systems and support design teams adopting a new way of working.

In March 2024, the project team shared its Morta pilot with the community. Morta had added features in response to project-team feedback, alongside weekly training led by the project team. The next step was to refine the setup across other projects before creating a reusable template.
The session paired an overview of Mott MacDonald's planning systems with a walkthrough of the subway project's implementation.

In March 2024, Samuel was a Digital Consultant and CDE Technical Lead within a Mott MacDonald division. He explained how plans connect to programme and common data environment (CDE) data, and why rollout needs ongoing feedback from project teams.

In March 2024, Mariano was a Digital Consultant in Mott MacDonald's information management team and Project CDE Optimisation Lead. He presented the project workflow and explained its training, adoption monitoring and decision to retain review before further automation.

Moving a growing information delivery plan beyond Excel meant introducing new working habits as well as new software. In this March 2024 session, Samuel and Mariano share the planning context and project experience, including the balance between connected data, adoption and human review.
