McLaughlin & Harvey is a privately owned construction and civil engineering business, founded in 1853 and operating across the UK and Ireland. Its digital construction team used Morta to connect information delivery planning, model-check reporting and asset-data collection with the people responsible for project delivery.
By the MortaTurns6 session published in December 2024, McLaughlin & Harvey had worked with Morta for more than two years. The Viewpoint connection had made the platform relevant to comparing planned information with actual submissions, while asset registers and check reports extended its use. Delivery dashboards were still in beta, and the company was continuing to develop adoption with operations and the supply chain.
The contributors brought business leadership, information planning and model-data expertise to the session. Their roles below are those attached to that work.
Glenn McCaffrey — Digital Construction Director. Glenn explained the people, processes and standards behind the approach, including board support and operations engagement. Read Glenn’s biography.
Geri Gardner — Information Manager. Geri showed the information delivery planning process, its connection to Viewpoint for Projects and the beta reporting dashboards. Read Geri’s biography.
Carpgiane Dos Santos — Digital Construction Manager. Carpgiane explained model-data checks, reporting and bespoke asset registers, including views for subcontractors. Read Carpgiane’s biography.

Back to Basics: The McLaughlin & Harvey Approach to Information Management. Glenn, Geri and Carpgiane explain how the contractor organised information management around project delivery. Their session connects the business rationale with practical examples of planning, reporting and asset-data collection, and addresses the work needed to bring operations and the supply chain into the process.
