Josh Barnsley was introduced as Senior Digital Construction Manager at Sir Robert McAlpine during Morta Community Day 2025. Mark Harrison described him as leading a digital construction team on a large project in Somerset.
Josh's demonstrations followed information from subcontractor delivery plans into the project MIDP and Power BI reporting. He explained package dates, the option to import agreed Excel formats and the comparison of planned delivery with actual information issues. His model QA example showed how the team tracked revisions, review status and findings while carrying out the model checks in external software.
He also presented a sustainability risk and opportunity submission process and monthly reporting built from discipline contributions. In the reporting example, he distinguished the existing Excel export route from a planned Asta Powerproject API connection. His contribution made the steps, responsibilities and remaining manual work visible alongside the finished dashboards.
