Rob Jackson is Head of Information Management Services at RLB Digital. He contributed to Morta's community sessions in 2024. An architect by training, he described earlier experiments with digital information resources from 2016 and a renewed focus on connecting text and tabular information in 2019.
In his RLB Digital presentation, Rob showed a reusable information management hub built with Morta. His examples connected exchange requirements to delivery planning, reused project-directory and status information, and brought training and reporting into the same environment. He also explained the work on IDS export and the model-data connections that still needed development.
Across the presentation and interview, Rob emphasised clear data structures, useful interfaces and continued testing. His practical advice was to begin with a specific process, invest in templates and leave room to extend them as requirements and experience developed.
You can start very small, but equally I would say think about the bigger picture as well.
