Dexter Robinson was a Data Architect at Sphere Entertainment Co. when he presented its construction-data approach to the Morta community. His remit covered construction information, separate from the technology used to operate the venue.
He described a background in architectural technology, design roles, BIM modelling consultancy and information management for a large operator client. That experience informed his interest in information that did not fit neatly into a building model, or remained difficult to use inside documents.
At Sphere, Dexter explained a standard data model built around common definitions, converters and reusable data products. His examples covered reconciling invoice and site records, cross-checking handover information and connecting cost inputs. Across those examples, he emphasised giving experienced people better evidence and directing uncertain cases to human review. Sensors and computer vision formed part of his future vision for site activity and payment prediction.
That's not about reducing the head count. That's about making people have a bit more of an exciting job.
