Christian Thomas is Director & Co-founder of AJ Digital. His construction career included a Completions Manager role, bringing together technology adoption and process improvement around project completion. He went on to establish AJ Digital to help contractors and developers use digital construction in their work.
In Morta’s November 2023 Community Showcase, Christian presented the company’s configurable operation and maintenance template. He explained how a common structure could work across subcontractor packages while retaining the client’s information requirements. His walkthrough covered maintenance data, supporting documents and technical review by people who knew the installation.
Christian also described how AJ Digital identifies the information needed at practical completion and makes review status visible. He separated the demonstrated handover process from future connections to approved project information and model data, including the conditions those connections would need to meet.
The standardization of the structure is something which there's a lot of benefits to the end user to have familiarity of what section to look in for particular documents when they're operating the building.
